Quite a few UI and tutorial changes so pushing this one out earlier than usual. Trying to get that new player experience right, the combat tips button will now show stuff like this now which is more immediately useful than the advanced tactics it showed before:

  • Added weapon damage stats to general tooltip
  • Trading is more lucrative now
  • Tools now chosen based on whichever has the highest power rating after checking where player is looking (Inventory or Ground)
  • Added edge scrolling functionality
  • Added sound effects for most recycling actions

  • Added keyboard shortcuts for bottom UI buttons
  • Include power of tool used to unlock site when not 100%
  • Added ability to roast Thorny Devil Burrows
  • Mining iron and coal deposit makes condition go down faster
  • Reduced materials required for Sturdy Burrow, Well and Inn construction
  • Reduced default music volume on main menu screen
  • Reduced time taken to Slice reptile corpse
  • Update secondary need UI colours
  • Tooltip UI during combat goes to left of screen for battle statistics
  • Made tooltip appear sooner but fade in instead of popping in
  • Lots more tutorial images and feedback for things player might miss
  • Add brain icon for thinking to enemies
  • Slightly more loot in Tourist mode
  • Fixed time remaining label only working for quests if it was the first choice
  • Fixed rare case of tooltip not updating in journal when requirements changed
  •  Another potential fix for disappearing modified terrain
  • Fixed allowing quests to complete when one but not all subquest completed
  • Potential fix for battle terrain features changing after saving/loading game during battle
  • Added sound effect when searching through Scavenger or Bandit Dens
  • Fixed weapon icon warmup times not updating after status effect wears off
  • Add multi-rows for perks display
  • Fixed nearby enemy encounters not showing up again after battle
  • Added more pauses for multiple simultaneous quest activations
  • QUESTINVENTORY and QUESTGROUND quest triggers do an immediate check when quest triggered in case player went off course
  • Disable random quest spawns in demo
